Job summary

Pattison Food Group Ltd., division Save-On-Foods, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for the Vernon, BC location. The role supports patient-centered care and medication processing within a teamwork-driven environment.

You will input prescriptions, manage stock and billing details, and coordinate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate patient service. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a community-focused Western Canadian company.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and 'let's get it done' attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

Compensation Details

$19.00 - $23.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
