Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Burnaby, BC is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily pharmacy operations and customer service. You will input prescriptions, assist with stock management and billing, and collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

The role requires completion of an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program or 2 years of dispensary experience, strong communication skills, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescriptions and refill requests, verbally or in writing.
• Enter patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Manage stock: ordering, receiving, returns, expiry checks and inventory corrections.
• Adhere to merchandising programs, procedures and company policies.
• Communicate allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Cameron location in Burnaby, BC .

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
