Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Calgary, AB is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our Seton pharmacy team. You will input patient and prescription information, help with stock management and billing, and assist customers with service. The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or two years of dispensary experience, plus strong communication and teamwork.

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, returning stock; expiry date checks and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and 'let's get it done' attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.
