Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant for Pharmasave #198 in Hope, BC. You will support pharmacists and technicians, greet customers, assist with prescriptions under supervision, and help with daily operations.

This role requires 1–3 years of retail pharmacy experience, accuracy in prescription data entry, and strong communication. A pharmacy assistant program is an asset; flexible hours including some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in retail.
• Skilled in prescription data entry with accuracy.
• Kroll software experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.

Responsibilities

Pharmasave #198 (Hope) is looking for afull-timePharmacy Assistantto join our teaminHope, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care


• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner


• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician


• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols


• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits


• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations


• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers


• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.


• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry.


• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)


• The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


• The typical shift schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts required to meet operational needs.
