Pet Valu in Kamloops, British Columbia is seeking a Store Manager to lead a team of Pet Experts and deliver world-class customer service. You will coach staff to help Pet Parents select the right nutrition and supplies for their pets, while driving store performance and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store management experience.
• Enthusiasm for learning & growth in pet care industry.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Observation and coaching of employees to provide feedback on sales techniques.
• Ability to understand inter-team conflicts and escalate when necessary.
• Working knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer service standards are met and maintain courteous relationships with the community (e.g. Humane society).
• Manage a team of employees including recruiting, scheduling, training, day-to-day task assignment, supervision and coaching.
• Ensure adherence to corporate operations standards and procedures.
• Coordinate order placements, maintain inventory, conduct store and safety audits, arrange minor repairs, and handle corporate paperwork.
• Coordinate staff efforts to achieve targeted business results.
• Fulfill other duties as required.
