Pet Valu in Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to coach and develop our store team, delivering world-class service and helping Pet Parents find the right nutrition and supplies for their pets. You will join a team of Pet Experts and enjoy a pet-friendly, growth-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have a passion for learning, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work weekends and evenings in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store management experience.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience coaching employees and giving feedback.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach store staff to meet customer service standards.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise employees on daily tasks.
• Maintain operational standards and procedures at store level.
• Coordinate orders, inventory, audits, and minor repairs.
• Drive store results and ensure targets are met.
• Perform other duties as required.
