Job summary

Pet Valu is seeking a Store Manager in Creston, BC to coach and develop a team of Pet Experts, delivering world-class service to customers and helping Pet Parents find the right nutrition for their pets.

You will recruit, schedule, train, and supervise staff, ensure operational standards, and manage inventory and store audits. Weekend and evening availability is required, with a path for growth in a pet-focused retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store management experience.
• Enthusiasm for learning & growth in pet care industry.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Observation and coaching to provide feedback around sales techniques and customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop store team to deliver world class service to customers and help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions.
• Recruiting, scheduling, training, day-to-day assignment of tasks, supervision and coaching of staff.
• Coordinate order placements, maintain inventory, ensure store audits and safety audits are completed, coordinate minor store repairs, complete corporate paperwork.
• Coordinate efforts of store staff to achieve targeted results.
• Other duties and tasks as required
