Pet Valu Canada Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Woodbridge, Ontario to lead a team of Pet Experts and deliver world-class service to Pet Parents. You will recruit, train and coach staff while ensuring every store operation meets high standards of service and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store management experience.
• Enthusiasm for learning & growth in pet care industry.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work as scheduled including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Observe and coach employees to provide feedback on sales techniques and customer service.
• Ability to understand inter-team conflicts and escalate when necessary.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer service standards are met by staff.
• Maintain courteous relationships within the community (e.g. Humane society).
• Manage a team of employees, including recruiting, scheduling, training and coaching.
• Ensure staff adhere to operational standards and procedures.
• Coordinate orders, maintain inventory, run store audits and safety checks, handle minor repairs.
• Drive business results by coordinating store staff efforts to meet targets.
• Perform other duties as required.
