Pet Valu Saint John, NB is hiring a Keyholder to support store operations, perform cash register duties, place orders, and assist with merchandising while delivering friendly service to customers.

The role emphasizes safety, compassion, and efficiency, with starting pay from 16.25 per hour, flexible scheduling, and staff discounts. Ideal candidates have retail experience, knowledge of POS, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation; a driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items into stock in the sales area.
• Store maintenance (sweeping, dusting, etc.).
• Assist in unloading deliveries and stocking items up to 50 lbs.
• Open and close the store following procedures.
• Possibly assign daily goals when management is absent.
• Other duties as required.
