Job summary

Pet Valu in Edmonton is seeking a Keyholder to support daily store operations and customer service excellence. You will handle cashier duties, stock merchandise, and assist with deliveries while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for pets and their families.

The role requires 2+ years in retail, strong communication, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Customer care and reliability are essential, with promotion opportunities within the Pet

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• In manager absences, the Keyholder may assign daily goals and tasks.
