Job summary

Pet Valu Canada Inc. is seeking a Keyholder to support daily store operations, assist customers, process transactions and help drive sales. This role emphasizes safety, service and teamwork in a busy retail environment.

The Keyholder will open and close the store, manage merchandise, and supervise ACEs when managers are away, while upholding Pet Valu's core commitments to guest service and community.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable means of transportation to and from the store.
• A valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking (items up to 50 lbs).
• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• In managers' absence, assign daily goals and tasks to ACEs.
• Other duties and tasks as required.
