Job summary

Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care in Markham, Ontario, seeks a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a temporary 3-month full-time position. You will provide personal care, support daily activities, and address physical, social, and emotional needs in a resident-centred setting.

Qualified graduates of an Ontario PSW program with CPR certification are preferred; registration with HSCPOA is an asset. Strong communication and teamwork, flexibility for shifts, and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care setting an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office); basic knowledge of Workday an asset.
• Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset.
• Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solve and time management; able to work independently and as a team.
