Job summary

Yee Hong in Markham is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a temporary part-time evening shift of 3 months. The PSW will provide personal care, assist clients with daily activities, and support physical, social and emotional needs in a resident-centred approach.

CPR certification and Ontario PSW credential are required, with HSCPOA registration preferred. The role requires ability to work evenings and weekends, and to adapt to scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care setting an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and time manage.
• Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player.
• Behavioural management training (GPA, U-First, CPI) an asset.
• Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office). Basic knowledge of Workday an asset.
• Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset.
