We're seeking a compassionate caregiver to support an independent 76-year-old woman in her home. She's warm, easy-going, and living alone in an apartment while maintaining much of her independence. The family has noticed some mild memory decline and wants to ensure she has regular companionship and practical support.
She's generally independent but experiences occasional dizziness with certain movements like bending. She values her autonomy and responds best to gentle guidance rather than direct instruction. She enjoys conversation, staying active, and maintaining her home but needs support with tasks that have become challenging.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (2 hours each day). Potential to add Saturday afternoons or additional weekday hours as care progresses. This is a long-term position with consistent weekly hours.
The family is involved and supportive, with the daughter working in London and visiting regularly. They're looking for someone reliable who will become a trusted, consistent presence in their mother's life.

Looking for a gentle, kind person with a calm demeanor who can take the client's lead rather than direct activities. The client is Christian and this is important to her, though she is not pushy about it. She prefers a female caregiver. The client is easy-going but can be easily influenced, so we need someone who will encourage her preferences rather than impose their own. She experiences dizziness with bending, so tasks requiring significant bending (like cleaning the bathtub) are needed. She lives alone and is still quite independent at 76, though there has been some decline in memory and cognitive ability. Companionship is important as the family worries about loneliness.
