Job summary

March of Dimes Canada is seeking a part-time, permanent Personal Support Worker (Support Services Attendant) in our Southwest Region. The role includes assisting clients in their own homes with daily living activities across mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

You will provide personal care, transfers, meal preparation and light housekeeping, while maintaining safety, dignity and privacy for clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain within three months of hire.
• Experience working with people with physical disabilities; client-based care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care duties.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.

We are currently looking to fill a part-time, permanent Personal Support Worker (Internally known as Support Services Attendant) role in our Southwest Region.

Schedule:

Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Wage:

$18.88 per hour plus a $3.00 wage enhancement where it applies

Hours:

Up to 30 hours per week.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High School Diploma

• Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care duties
