March of Dimes Canada seeks three part-time Personal Support Workers in Central Toronto to provide in-home non-medical support per individual plans. Responsibilities include personal care, transfers, meal assistance, light housekeeping, and safety.
Required: high school diploma or equivalent, Standard First Aid and CPR, experience with individuals with disabilities, and ability to perform attendant care duties.
We are currently seeking to fill 3 part-time, permanent Personal Support Worker (Internally known as Support Services Attendant) positions in the Central Toronto area.
Wage: $19.42 per hour
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weekend availability is mandatory.
Assist consumers in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures, including:
Personal care.
Lifts and transfers.
Assistance with rising and retiring.
Bowel and bladder care procedures.
Meal preparation and feeding assistance.
Range-of-motion exercises.
Light housekeeping duties.
Perform all duties professionally while respecting consumers' dignity, privacy, and rights and maintaining a safe environment for consumers and staff.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, with knowledge of independent living or consumer-centred care.
Knowledge of and ability to perform attendant care duties, including transferring, lifting, and bowel and bladder routines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.
Reliable transportation required.
Completion of a Physical Demands Self-Analysis upon hire.
