March of Dimes Canada is seeking a Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Sudbury, ON. The role is the Support Services Attendant in our Assisted Living Seniors Program, with wages of $19.24 per hour and up to 20 hours weekly.

Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays across various locations. Responsibilities span non-medical in-home care, personal support, transfers, meal prep, ROM exercises, and light housekeeping while upholding dignity and safety.

Formación

• PSW Certificate would be an asset.
• Experience with older adults is an asset.
• Experience/understanding of Independent Living or client-directed care is an asset.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with people with physical disabilities.
• Knowledge to perform transfers, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.
• Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• French-English bilingualism is an asset.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Valid driverrs license and reliable vehicle to travel between client locations.
• Paid mileage and paid travel time.

Responsabilidades

• Travel between client locations as required.
• Provide personal care, lifts and transfers, rising and retiring, bowel and bladder routines.
• Meal preparation and feeding; range of motion exercises; light housekeeping.
• Perform duties professionally, maintaining dignity and safety.
• Work multiple shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This Opportunity:

We are currently looking to fill 1 Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) position, internally known as Support Services Attendant (SSA), in our Assisted Living Seniors Program in Sudbury, ON, Northeast.

Wage: $19.24 per hour

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Schedule: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with various hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:

  • Travel between client locations as required

  • Personal care

  • Lifts and transfers

  • Rising and retiring

  • Bowel and bladder procedures

  • Meal preparation and feeding

  • Range of motion exercises

  • Other light housekeeping duties

• Perform duties in a professional manner that respects the dignity and privacy of clients and maintains client and staff health and safety.

• Work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, which may vary between locations.

Qualifications:
