Job summary

SE Health is hiring part-time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to join Community Care in Caledonia, Ontario and surrounding areas. You’ll provide in-home and community-based support with a focus on dignity, independence, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Maintain dignity, safety, and independence for clients.
• Document care activities and communicate with care team.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First AInd
• Availability to workdays and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
