Job summary

CIBC in Nelson, BC is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to serve personal and small business clients in a fast-paced Banking Centre, focusing on mortgage portfolios and deepening client relationships. You’ll work on-site full-time and deliver personalized financial guidance toward clients’ goals.

You have 2–3 years of financial advisory experience, hold Mutual Funds licensing or Canadian Securities Course, and meet CIRO-MFD licensing eligibility; CFSA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in providing financial advice to clients with sales outcomes
• Accreditation and good standing in Mutual Funds License (CSCs or IFIC)
• Eligibility for CIRO-MFD licensing required; CFSA is an asset

Responsibilities

• Client engagement – meet with clients to assess personal and business priorities and provide forward-looking financial plans
• Relationship building – expand network and connect clients with appropriate partners
• Business development – grow client base through outreach and referrals
