Qualifications

Responsibilities

Personal Lines Account Manager - RIBO Licensed

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, RIBO Licensed Personal Lines Account Manager to join a growing insurance brokerage.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a portfolio of Personal Lines clients with a high level of independence and will take a proactive, service-oriented approach to ensuring clients receive the right coverage and an exceptional overall experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service an assigned portfolio of Personal Lines insurance clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive and professional service.
• Manage the full renewal process, including reviewing policies, identifying coverage needs, obtaining quotations, negotiating with insurers, and presenting renewal options to clients.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, new business, rewrites, and other servicing requests.
• Utilize insurance company portals and broker systems to obtain quotes, process transactions, access policy information, and manage client accounts.
• Review clients’ existing coverage and proactively identify opportunities for coverage enhancements and cross-selling.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and contribute to strong client retention and satisfaction.
• Handle client questions, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with underwriters and insurance company representatives to resolve issues and advocate for clients.
• Ensure all activities comply with RIBO requirements, brokerage procedures, and insurer guidelines.
• Stay current with Personal Lines products, market conditions, insurer offerings, and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Active RIBO License is required.
• 3+ years of experience in Personal Lines insurance, ideally within an insurance brokerage environment.
• Strong experience managing Personal Lines renewals from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience using insurance carrier portals, preferably with several major Canadian insurers.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communicating with clients by phone, email, and virtually.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the brokerage team.
• Comfortable learning and navigating multiple technology platforms and insurer systems.
• A proactive approach to identifying client needs rather than simply reacting to service requests.
