Fraser Health Authority in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse, Perinatal, to join the Maternal - Infant - Child & Youth (MICY) team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre.

The RN will provide direct patient care during intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods, collaborate with an inter-professional team, and support families; requires Nursing degree and BC RN license with perinatal experience.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• One (1) year's recent perinatal nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
• Post-graduate basic course work and/or certification in perinatal nursing applicable to the designated clinical area, or equivalent.
• Current Basic Rescuer (Level C) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certificates.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts a comprehensive nursing assessment of the patient and unborn baby on admission and at regular intervals.
• Collaborates with patients and their families and inter-professional team in care planning.
• Coordinates nursing care and referrals according to established protocols.
• Educates patients and families on pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn care and parenting.
• Documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, interventions, outcomes, and referrals per Fraser Health procedures.
