Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Relief Full-Time Registered Nurse, Perinatal for the Surrey Memorial Hospital maternity team in British Columbia. The role focuses on direct patient care across intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods for parents, newborns and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program with active BC registration required.
• Post-graduate perinatal course work or certification preferred.
• NRP and basic resuscitation knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessment on admission and throughout the perinatal care period.
• Collaborate with family, physicians, and care team to plan and adjust care plans.
• Coordinate care and referrals with inter-professional team per protocols.
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, birth, and newborn care.
• Document assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
• Support discharge planning and post-discharge referrals as needed.
