Job summary

Fraser Health Authority in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a Relief Full Time Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to join the MICY, PEDIATRICS team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The role is available until approximately November 2026 or until the return of the incumbent.

The successful candidate will provide direct pediatric inpatient and ambulatory care, collaborating with an inter-professional team, while supporting patient and family education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and active BCCNM registration.
• One year of recent pediatric nursing experience.
• Post-graduate coursework or certification in pediatrics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric nursing assessments on admission and routinely.
• Develop and update individualized care plans with the inter-professional team.
• Coordinate care, plan discharges, and communicate with care coordinators.
• Teach patients and families about health maintenance and self-care.
• Mentor new staff and contribute to quality improvement activities.
