Job summary

Westland Insurance Group is seeking a People & Performance Operations Specialist to manage the end-to-end hiring lifecycle and optimize HR processes. The role is based at our Head Office in Surrey, BC with a hybrid schedule requiring at least two days in-office weekly.

You will work closely with Talent Acquisition and P&P Leadership to draft employment agreements, administer HR operations in Dayforce, and support onboarding, policies, and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or related field; Finance/Insurance experience preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years HR experience
• Proficiency with Dayforce HRIS for HR operations
• Strong time management, prioritization and communication skills
• Initiative-driven with a growth mindset and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
• Excellent relationship-building and teamwork across internal/external partners
• Experience leveraging technology to drive business results (HRIS usage)
• Attention to detail and strong project execution capabilities

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end hiring lifecycle including drafting offers, scheduling interviews, and maintaining employee records
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and P&P Leadership to draft compliant employment agreements and improve processes
• Oversee HR operations in Dayforce (changes, terminations, audits, reports, bonuses)
• Manage HR inbox and maintain SharePoint/Teams pages
• Support M&A onboarding, document prep and training coordination
• Administer the Westland Scholarship Program and communicate with participants
• Ensure timely completion of Statistics Canada surveys and other reporting requirements

We’re searching for a People & Performance Operations Specialist. Are you searching for new possibilities? This role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of two in-office days per week.

Expected Compensation:

The expected hiring range for this role is $56,800 to $71,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

Once here, you'll:

• Manage the end-to-end hiring lifecycle, including drafting offer letters, scheduling interviews, creating employee records in Dayforce, and maintaining job postings with consistent formatting and vendor management
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and P&P Leadership to draft compliant employment agreements and recommend process improvements, including automation in Dayforce
• Oversee HR operations in Dayforce, such as processing changes, terminations, audits, generating reports, and tracking bonuses and temporary employees.
• Manage the HR inbox, ensuring prompt responses or delegation, and maintain the People & Performance SharePoint and Teams pages
• Support M&A integrations with onboarding, document preparation, and training coordination while assisting with updates to employment agreements, policies, and handbooks
• Administer the Westland Scholarship Program, maintaining effective communication with participants
• Ensure timely completion of Statistics Canada surveys and other reporting requirements
