Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is seeking a People & Performance Advisor for a hybrid role based out of the Surrey Head Office, BC. The position offers a salary range of $66,400 to $83,000 per year for a 35-hour work week, with eligibility for an annual incentive program and professional development support.

The candidate will coach leaders to develop and implement people strategies that foster an engaging employee culture, while building strong relationships with managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
• Curiosity to research, analyze data, and present findings.
• Solid knowledge of provincial employment standards and employment law.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar HR advisor role.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with managers and employees to support engagement and retention.
• Coach and advise managers on people management challenges such as change initiatives, attendance and performance issues.
• Collaborate with P&P team on projects to support Westland’s growth plans.
• Assess risk and propose solutions considering applicable legislation and common law.
• Partner with People Relations to resolve employee relations concerns effectively.
• Support onboarding for newly acquired businesses and assist growth.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $66,400 to $83,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

• Use HR data and metrics to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and make informed recommendations
