Job summary

Datatonic is seeking a People Ops (HR) Coordinator for the Americas region, based in Canada. You will support a Regional People Business Partner and the Global People Ops team, handling foundational HR tasks, payroll, HRIS (HiBob), contracts, compliance, onboarding and offboarding, and employee benefits administration.

You will coordinate cross-region initiatives, ensure legal compliance for Canada (including Quebec), and act as first-line HR support while contributing to engaging employee

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a People Ops Generalist or Coordinator.
• Located in Canada; fluent in French and English.
• Foundational knowledge of Canada employment law.
• Experience managing payroll for a Canada-based business.
• Experience with visa sponsorship and relocation administration (nice to have).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Willing to learn and build out/improve HR systems.
• HRIS experience; HiBob preferred.
• Experience supporting teams in multiple countries is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct support to the Regional People Business Partner and Global People Ops team.
• Manage contracts, policies, and compliance for the region.
• Oversee payroll processing and HRIS for the region.
• Manage perks and benefits administration (pension/GRSP, insurance, leave).
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including IT access and right-to-work checks.
• Coordinate employee events and engagements with the Datatonic team.
• Provide first-line HR support for policy, benefits, and processes.
