Job summary

Edelman in Toronto is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support North America employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding—across the U.S. and Canada.

You will administer LOA processes, case management, and policy interpretation while partnering with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits and Employee Relations to ensure compliant, high-touch service. Join a team focused on scalable programs, data governance, and regional collaboration to deliver a consistent employee experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Three+ years in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or related HR operational role.
• Hands-on experience administering Leave of Absence and lifecycle transactions.
• Experience with Workday and ServiceNow, or similar HRIS and case management platforms.
• Familiarity with multi-country employment practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes across North America, ensuring compliance and a seamless experience.
• Execute onboarding from offer to Day One, including documentation audits and orientation.
• Conduct centralized Day One orientations for US/Canada hires based on onboarding materials.
• Manage offboarding with confidentiality and accuracy, including exit surveys and equipment coordination.
• Provide lifecycle insights to Partners and Employee Relations to drive improvements.
• Process lifecycle transactions in Workday with accuracy and timeliness.
