Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including operating independently in a standalone HR function.
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPHR designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, workplace investigations, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and policy development.
• Proficiency with HR software systems and Google Workspace is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization''s sole HR professional, providing operational human resources support across the business (proficiency in British Columbia & Manitoba ESA).
• Ensure HR practices align with employment legislation, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Partner with leaders to develop HR plans that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and company culture.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Champion a culture of safety by integrating occupational health and safety legislation into all people practices and organizational initiatives.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality; continuously reviewing payroll processes and systems.
