Job summary

BC Children's Hospital Research Institute’s Precision Diabetes Research Program seeks a Diabetes Research Manager to oversee research activities, ethics approvals, budgeting, and grant administration under Dr. Angela Devlin and Dr. Dina Panagiotopoulos.

You will coordinate HR, supervise staff, support knowledge translation, and engage with funders and collaborating investigators to advance pediatric diabetes research in BC.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in research.

Responsibilities

• Lead project proposals, budgets, and forecasting for research programs.
• Draft ethics applications and liaise with ethics committees.
• Monitor study progress and ensure compliance with procedures and reporting.
• Oversee HR and administrative needs for lab staff and trainees.
• Support grant applications and communication with funders and collaborators.
• Mentor trainees and supervise research staff.
