Job summary

Gestion Zagora, a residential property management company, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Montreal. You will run biweekly payroll, maintain records, ensure accurate deductions, and respond to payroll questions from employees.

You will collaborate with HR and Accounting, ensure compliance with Québec and Canadian payroll laws, and handle year-end T4/RL-1 processes. Bilingual French/English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience with payroll software; ADP is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Québec and Canadian payroll legislation.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Organised, with good time management.
• Discreet with sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent French and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Process the biweekly payroll.
• Maintain and update payroll records in the payroll system.
• Ensure every pay element is accurate: deductions, bonuses, commissions and benefits.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, departures and status changes.
• Ensure compliance with Québec and Canadian payroll law and employment standards.
• Manage statutory deductions (QPP/CPP, EI, QPIP, income tax).
• Prepare payroll reports for management and Accounting.
• Handle year-end T4 and RL-1 slips.
• Keep payroll information confidential.
