The successful candidate will handle deductions, remittances, year-end reporting, and continuous process improvements in a unionized environment, with a focus on confidentiality and deadlines.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle payroll experience.

Responsabilidades

• Process weekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll.
• Review timekeeping records, overtime, shift premiums, vacation, holidays, and adjustments.
• Administer payroll per collective agreements and applicable legislation.
• Manage deductions, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs).
• Investigate discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and improvements.

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join an established manufacturing organization in Cambridge, Ontario. This position offers the opportunity to independently manage full-cycle payroll for approximately 300+ employees. Working closely with Human Resources, Operations, and Finance, the successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Daily responsibilities

• Process weekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll
• Review timekeeping records, overtime, shift premiums, vacation, statutory holidays, and payroll adjustments
• Administer payroll in accordance with collective agreements and applicable legislation
• Manage payroll deductions, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end reporting, including T4s and ROEs
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits, reporting, and process improvements

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle payroll experience, including hourly and salaried employees
• Experience processing payroll in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreement provisions
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory deductions, remittances, and year-end requirements
• Ability to independently manage payroll deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
