Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our Accounting Department in Canada. You will process bi-weekly payroll, enter garnishments, handle one-time changes, and perform payroll audits to ensure accuracy.

The role requires 2+ years of high-volume payroll experience, proficiency with Excel, and familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce. You will support new hires and separations, answer payroll questions, and maintain confidential information, working toward timely

Qualifications

• 2+ years of high-volume payroll experience.
• Be a self-starter who can use sound business judgment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Visa sponsorship is not available in the US posting.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce.

Job description

Your previous payroll experience can be put to excellent use in our Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll by following policies and procedures and make recommendations for process improvement
• Enter garnishments, timesheet adjustments, and other one-time changes to payroll
• Perform audits to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Process new hires and separations
• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
• Maintain confidential payroll information
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

Requirements

• 2+ years of high-volume payroll experience, preferably with a top tier HCM payroll system
• Be a self-starter who is able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to be responsible for more than one task at a time
• Strong customer service skills, team oriented, flexible, and have the ability to work with strict deadlines
