Job summary

People Corporation seeks an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our HR Shared Services payroll operations across multiple provinces and entities in Canada. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting integration activities for new acquisitions.

Responsibilities include end-to-end payroll processing, year-end activities, system leadership (ADP Workforce Now and Workday HCM), and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a Payroll Manager or senior payroll leadership role.
• Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading payroll activities during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, source deductions, taxable benefits, pension administration, and year-end reporting.
• Experience managing payroll for multiple legal entities and provinces.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, and/or PCP designation.
• Experience working within a Workday HCM environment if preferred.
• Experience supporting payroll process transformation and automation initiatives.
• Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-provincial and multi-company Canadian workforce.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, deductions, contributions, bonuses, and other earnings.
• Oversee year-end activities: T4s, RL-1s, ROEs, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead payroll integration activities related to acquisitions and organizational changes.
• Define SLAs and metrics for HR Shared Services.
• Mentor and develop the payroll team and ensure SLA compliance.
