Job summary

The Portfolio Group in Markham, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our multi-provincial payroll operations, reporting to the CFO. You will manage a 5–8 person payroll team, ensure regulatory compliance for union and non-union plans, drive year-end activities, and partner with cross-functional teams.

CPM or PLP payroll certification and accounting accreditation are highly valued; ERP payroll knowledge is a plus; attractive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-provincial payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of union and non-union processing.
• Experience with year-end activities and cross-functional liaison.

Salary: CAD120000 - CAD140000 per annum

Role: Payroll Manager

Location: Markham

Our client is currently seeking an experienced payroll leader with extensive union/non-union processing experience

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the ideal candidate for this position will

• take ownership and responsibility for the organizations multi-provincial payroll processing environment
• including but not limited too; day to day leadership of a large payroll processing team, providing expert compliance knowledge, lead year end acitivities and work closley across cross functional teams
• leading payroll workflow improvement projects, systems support and all maintaince
• overseeing team of 5-8 payroll reports
• have experience managing multi-unionized environment
• ERP payroll knowledge is considered an asset
• strong communication, ability to liaise with government entities and external vendors
• NPI payroll certification ideally leadership level - CPM or PLP
• Accounting accredition necessary
