Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone looking to start their career in payroll and benefits administration. You will play a crucial role in supporting our payroll team and ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.

This is an in-office position working Monday to Friday at our corporate head office located in Regina, SK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vacation Administration:Coordinate and track employee vacation requests and balances.
  • Time Tracking:Support time tracking for small projects where needed
  • Payroll Support:Assist Payroll team with basic payroll tasks to prepare for payroll runs.
  • Request Processing:Handle change requests and other basic tasks in UKG, including resets.
  • Email Management:Manage and triage the payroll email inbox, ensuring timely responses.
  • Regular Reporting:Generate and distribute various payroll-related reports on a scheduled basis.
  • Regulatory Inquiries:Respond to basic inquiries from regulatory bodies such as WCB, Stats Canada, Service Canada, and state regulators.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with UKG or similar payroll systems is a plus.
