Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to handle payroll processing and benefits administration for hourly employees. The role focuses on union payroll, biweekly ADP scheduling, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

The candidate will manage data entry for hires, transfers, leaves, terminations, and wage adjustments, while maintaining benefits updates and year-end support. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years payroll administration experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Accounting, or related field.
  • National Payroll Institute certificate in Payroll Administration.
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll practices and reporting guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Process union hourly payroll on a biweekly pay schedule in the ADP system.
  • Maintain knowledge of current collective agreement and its impact on pay and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of new hires, internal transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, and wage adjustments for hourly employees.
  • Process annual Union wage increases including updates for group benefits.
  • Prepare month-end balance reports for Finance and assist with year-end payroll audit requests.
  • Prepare cheque requisitions and remittances for Union dues and garnishments.
  • Maintain compliance with AODA guidelines.
  • Respond on time to requests from Supervisors regarding pay discrepancies.
  • Maintain current paper filing system for HR personnel records.
  • Act as backup to Salaried payroll to cover vacation leaves.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall Human Resources departmental goals and objectives.

Our client, a leading North American supplier of heat-resistant cast steel products, is looking to add a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to their team.

The Role

As a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for the processing of payroll and administration of benefits for hourly employees.

You Will
  • Process union hourly payroll on a biweekly pay schedule in the ADP system

You Have
