The role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week at the Crunch HQ office in Cambridge. Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and a detail‑oriented mindset for accurate processing and timely support for employees.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of payroll administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP (Workforce Now or similar platform).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and standards.
  • Payroll administrator certificate or working toward it is an asset.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-weekly/semi-monthly basis using ADP.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and reconcile reports.
  • Manage statutory deductions and year-end payroll activities.
  • Respond to employee pay inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding and collaborate with HR and Finance.

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, and supporting employees with pay-related inquiries. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in our fun Crunch HQ office in Cambridge, ON.

This position is currently a one year contract, with the potential to expand to a permanent role!

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-weekly/semi-monthly basis using ADP
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADPReview and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy prior to processing
  • Manage statutory deductions, including taxes, CPP, and EI
  • Prepare and process ROEs, T4s, and year-end payroll activities
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of all employees
  • Work with supporting platforms to manage onboarding and offboarding of all employees
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies
  • Support audits and provide payroll reporting as required

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Hands‑on experience with ADP (Workforce Now or similar platform preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and standards
  • Payroll administrator certificate or working toward it is an asset
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting
