GardaWorld is seeking a Patient Transfer Attendant in London, Ontario. You will transport patients between hospitals and residences using wheels/stretcher, assist with transfers, and ensure comfort and safety while maintaining professional communication with staff and families.

Required are a clean driving record, vulnerable sector check, First Aid/CPR/AED, and eligibility to work in Canada. Prior patient transport experience is preferred; immunization records must be up to date.

Qualifikationen

• Clean driving record and valid vulnerable sector check.
• Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Minimum one year of patient transfer or medical transportation experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare, emergency services, or non-emergency patient transport preferred.
• Physically capable of safely lifting and transferring patients weighing up to 250 lbs (100 kg) with a partner using a stretcher or wheelchair.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide a clean driver’s abstract and a vulnerable sector background check.
• Provide up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, polio, varicella, hepatitis B, TB skin test (Step 1), and any additional vaccinations required for healthcare settings, such as COVID-19

Licences & Certifications for Patient Transfer Attendant

• Clean driving record and valid vulnerable sector check.
• Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification.
• At least ONE of the following: AEMCA certification, first-year paramedic program completion, PSW qualification, EMR or First Responder certification, or current enrolment in an OT, PT, RN, or RPN program.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Minimum one year of patient transfer or medical transportation experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare, emergency services, or non-emergency patient transport preferred.
• Physically capable of safely lifting and transferring patients weighing up to 250 lbs (100 kg) with a partner using a stretcher or wheelchair.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide a clean driver’s abstract and a vulnerable sector background check.
