Job description

HotelArts is currently looking for a casual Pastry Cook. We seek someone who consistently provides quality and production daily in an organized and effective manner. This cook will primarily work alongside our pastry team.

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Casual
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Candidate Traits:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ensure all pastries, desserts, and baked goods are prepared efficiently to standard
  • Maintain food quality and presentation standards with consistency
  • Manage time effectively with multiple tasks during a shift
  • High interest in food and culinary arts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility in the work environment
  • Complete mise en place in a timely manner
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of all food products
  • Follow provincial health regulations and proper food handling techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Be mindful of food cost, portion control, and waste management
