Job summary

Steve’s Livestock Transport's BVT Truck & Trailer Repair division in Red Deer is seeking a Parts & Service Advisor to join our team. You will handle parts sales for current customers, open and close work orders, confirm technicians' time and explain work performed.

This role requires strong service-writing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Teams and computers, and a trucking background is a plus. We offer stable employment and a benefits package including dental, health, vision, and life

• Experience in service-writing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, computers and internet
• Experience with TMT Software is an asset
• Preference for trucking background

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

Job description

A division of Steve’s Livestock Transport, BVT Truck & Trailer Repair offers full-service repairs and maintenance on all varieties of trucks and trailers. BVT Truck & Trailer Repair has grown into three locations to serve our customers in Blumenort and Brandon, MB as well as our branch in Red Deer, AB. We are currently looking for a Parts & Service Advisor to join our team in Red Deer!

Responsibilities:

• Parts sales for current customers
• Opening and closing of work orders
• Confirming technicians time and work explanations
• Distributing parts to technicians and billing out to correct work order
• Special order parts from suppliers
• Shipping and receiving duties
• Inventory reporting
• Inventory counts and control
• Estimate parts costs for repairs when required
• Cost control
• Ability to lift materials weighing 50lbs.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Service-writing experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, computers, and internet
• Experience with TMT Software an asset
• Preference will be given to candidates with a trucking background
