Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment in Milton, Ontario, is seeking a Security Officer to protect team members, guests, and facilities under supervision of the Manager, Security. You will monitor for hazards, enforce access control, perform identification checks, and coordinate with operations to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 1 year related experience, Smart Serve and First Aid/CPR Level C, and eligibility for a Gaming License.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification required.
  • Valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C Certification required.
  • Willingness to recertify Use of Force Certification.
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
  • Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
  • Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
  • Escorts cash/cash equivalents
  • Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
  • Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
  • Escorts guests and team members as directed
  • Performs identification checks
  • Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
  • Performs crowd control as directed
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education

High School Diploma
Smart Serve Certification
First Aid CPR/AED Level C Certification
Use of Force Certification (recertification)
Gaming License eligibility

Education And Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience or correlated secondary education relatable to the position
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification

  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
