Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a Security position to safeguard team members, guests, and casino assets. Under the Security Manager, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment and ensure adherence to policies while supporting a positive learning atmosphere for staff.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays with at least 2 years of experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• Serving it Right Certificate.
• Security license an asset.
• Guard Force Training an asset.
• Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset.
• Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification.
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, documents and prepares statements and reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities.
• Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons.
• Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
• Escorts cash/cash equivalents.
• Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found.
• Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed.
• Escorts guests and team members as directed.
• Performs identification checks as required.
• Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security.
• Performs crowd control as directed.
• May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations.
• May enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program.
• Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members.
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
