AgeCare Glen Oaks in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide professional nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will support Personal Support Workers and ensure timely communication with the health care team.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, adherence to regulatory standards, and contributing to a positive, home-like environment for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• A sound knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
• Familiar with relevant acts and standards (Ontario/Canada).
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the RN, implements AgeCare policies on the unit.
• Liaises with physicians and other health care team members.
• Notifies physician in case of significant changes in resident status.
• Provides direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participates in shift reports to inform the team of changes.
