Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at the Wye Road location in Sherwood Park, AB. The role involves receiving prescriptions, data entry, stock management, and liaising with the pharmacist to ensure accurate billing and patient safety.

A friendly, customer-focused individual with a relevant program or dispensary experience is preferred. This part-time position supports a community-focused pharmacy team in Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, and returning stock; expiry date checks; balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.
