Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Red Deer, AB is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering patient-centered care. You will process prescriptions, input patient data, manage stock, and communicate with pharmacists and customers.

The role requires completion of an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program or two years of dispensary experience, plus a strong work ethic and excellent communication. We offer Friday pay, team discounts, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and a ‘let’s get it done’ attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions and refill requests (written or verbal).
• Inputting patient and prescription data into the computer.
• Managing stock orders, receiving, and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our East Hill Centre location in Red Deer, AB.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.
