Job summary

Pattison Food Group's Save-On-Foods division is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at the Seton location in Calgary, AB. You will support pharmacists by handling prescriptions, inputting data, and managing stock in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

This role demands strong communication and customer service skills, with an Accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or 2 years of dispensary experience. Competitive benefits and team incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and 'let's get it done' attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions and refill requests in written or verbal form.
• Inputting patient and prescription information into the computer system.
• Ordering, receiving, and managing stock, expiry checks, and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and billing information to the pharmacist.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and 'let's get it done' attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.
