Job summary

RONA in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Receiving and Handling associate to ensure smooth and accurate product flow from deliveries to store shelves. You will operate forklift, pallet jacks, and scanners, while maintaining inventory accuracy and precise paperwork. The role emphasizes health and safety and teamwork within the Store Team.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate store equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, and electrical lifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment is a plus.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves.
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space for incoming product.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received.
• Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Your role:

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming product
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received
• Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we’re looking for:

• Ability to operate store equipment in assigned work area (forklift, pallet jacks, electrical lifts, computer, scanner etc.)
• A commitment to health and safety in the workplace
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with material handling equipment will be considered an asset
