YWCA BC is hiring a Part Time Job Developer for 21 hours/week on a 1-year contract until October 2027. You will work with program participants to secure unpaid or subsidized placements and sustainable employment, and assist with foreign credential recognition.

Qualifications

• Experience in job development, career coaching or participant placement.
• Knowledge of barriers faced by newcomers and diverse populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one job development meetings and career planning with participants.
• Support foreign credential recognition and licensing processes.
• Match participants with residency, mentorship, employment and placement opportunities.
• Recruit and engage employers and healthcare partners for opportunities.
• Develop employer partnerships through outreach and events.
• Deliver orientations, workshops, and career exploration activities.
• Provide mentorship and support throughout employment journeys.
• Monitor progress and maintain records; provide follow-up.
