Job summary

The Calgary Tower is seeking a Part-Time Guest Services Representative to greet guests, answer questions about Calgary, and provide visitors with an unforgettable experience 525 feet above the downtown core.

You will work part-time hours including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays under the supervision of the management team. Flexibility for evening shifts (1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maturity, reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
• Cash handling experience and customer service orientation.
• Fluency in English, strong communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process admission and cash transactions.
• Handle retail transactions and assist merchandising.
• Manage visitor access to the facility.

Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a Part-Time Guest Services Representative at the Calgary Tower. Under the leadership of the Manager and Supervisors, you will provide exceptional customer service to our guests. You will greet people, answer questions about Calgary, and provide visitors with an unforgettable experience 525 feet above the downtown core.

This position is supervised by Calgary Tower Management Team. As a Guest Services Representative with the Calgary Tower, you will work part-time hours which include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Candidates with the flexibility and availability to work evenings (between 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.) and weekends will be given priority.

Key Duties:

• Process admission transactions and handle cash
• Process retail transactions & assist in merchandising
• Manage visitor access to the facility
• Respond to in-person and telephone inquiries
• Assist supervisors and managers as required
• Assist with retail operations as needed
• Provide visitors with information about the Calgary Tower and the city
• Perform additional duties within your areas of interest and abilities (the sky’s the limit – literally!)

Competencies Required:

• A high school diploma and/or post-secondary education program
• Maturity, flexibility, reliability, and punctuality
• Cash-handling experience
• Professionalism
• A courteous, personable, and engaging attitude
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite)
• A strong orientation toward customer service and teamwork
• The ability to take initiative and multi-task
• A strong work ethic based on honesty and integrity
• Successful City of Calgary Police Information and Criminal Record Check
