Job summary

Open Door Group is seeking an experienced Employer Services Consultant to work with businesses across Alberta, delivering practical workforce solutions, recruitment support and inclusive employment guidance. This part-time, permanent role involves travel to worksites and partnerships to strengthen local employers’ capabilities.

You’ll analyze workforce needs, provide coaching and connect clients with funding and resources, reporting to the Service Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma in HR or related discipline required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent, progressively responsible experience in employer engagement or workforce development.
• Experience assessing employer challenges and developing practical solutions for business needs.
• Applied knowledge of HR and workforce practices (recruitment, onboarding, retention, planning, inclusive employment).
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to travel regionally; Criminal Record Check required.

Responsibilities

• Assess employer needs and develop practical workforce recommendations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and inclusive hiring practices for client employers.
• Connect employers with training, funding and community resources.
• Deliver coaching, workshops and presentations to employers and managers.
• Research labour market trends and employer feedback to inform service improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and partner organizations.
